Further to the vote in February to move sail supplier from Quantum to Hyde, we are pleased to announce the pricing structure is now set & the web store is now live. The class association has worked hard to achieve this competitive package & thanks must go to Paul Fisk & Nick Peters for all their hard work.
Ordering sails from the UK
Prices displayed on the Hyde Sails website are in GBP including VAT and air freight from the Hyde loft in the Philippines to Peters & May in Southampton. Onward shipping by Peters & May within the UK is available at an additional cost which is shown on checkout. There is also an option to ‘click and collect’ from Peters & May. For an initial round of pre-Nationals requirements, Hyde Sails have offered to consolidate orders and recommend that fleet captains arrange collection of their consolidated shipment from Peters & May – Hyde Sails will advise an estimated production schedule once orders are received and will advise when the sails are ready to collect. For inclusion in the pre-Nationals consolidated order and shipment, please place your order online before Friday 17 April.
Hyde have kindly offered to deliver a ‘consolidated’ order to the Burnham fleet, as they will have someone travelling that way. All other fleets should make their own arrangements for collection or simply opt for the onward courier at an additional cost. We believe we have built in sufficient contingency to cover increases in shipping costs due to the ongoing Middle Eastern crisis for an initial round of pre-nationals orders. Although shipping costs are currently somewhat unpredictable, we hope that they may be reduced for a more reasonable out-of-season sea freight order in the autumn. However, costs will be reviewed nearer the time.
Ordering sails from outside the UK
Prices displayed on the website are in USD, excluding any shipping and import duties. There is an option to include air freight direct from the Philippines before checkout for an individual order. We would recommend that each fleet, e.g. Antigua, Ireland, Norway, co-ordinate amongst themselves for a nominated individual to place one consolidated order and make one single payment. Hyde Sails will calculate the cost for one single consolidated shipment to one single delivery destination. Any import duties are to be paid locally.
