Hayling Island Sailing Club has launched a dry sailing service from the beach. Bespoke launching trollies have been designed and built over the winter, featuring a narrow wheelbase, telescopic drawbar and huge wheels offering minimal footprint with easy launching over the sand. Keel supports allow easy access for maintenance and repairs with forward and aft padded supports positioned to match bulkheads for strength. The 'bow-up' resting position ensures easy cockpit drainage. The trolley's structure make it easy to climb aboard from the beach without the need for a ladder. Fourteen boats have signed up for the HISC Drysail package which started operations over the Easter weekend.
