EVENT INFORMATION:

Fantastic warm up for the Sprints on the Sunday 21st May and the Soak Insure Southern Championships 27-29th May
The Agenda for the day (read all the way to the end!):
10:00 - Briefing.

Overview of the day
Discussion on the techniques of sailing and manoeuvring the boat.

11:00 - Leave the shore

Training in Bracklesham Bay (via a number of windward / leeward informal races)
We will watch / video the sailing so we can provide documented feedback and be able to demonstrate good practice and areas to work on


All comms on the water will be via VHF radio

15:00 - Return to shore

Debrief

16:00 – Finish (see below regarding an offer you can’t refuse!)
To make the most from the day a bit of preparation would help:
Check your rig settings and tension are correct, using your loos gauge, before the day.

Bring your VHF radio.
Bring any questions you’d like us to answer about Elite Sailing, prior to sailing.
The windward / leeward courses are not “races” so there is no need to push the rules or dive in at the windward mark on port!

 Your so called “experts” on the day will be Colin and Tom!

DIRECTIONS:
Sandy Point, Hayling Island, Hampshire. PO11 9SL
Take the A3023 (Havant road) sign posted Hayling Island from the M27. Proceed on the A3023 over Langstone bridge to a roundabout (approx 3,25 miles). At the roundabout take the first exit left to Mengham / Eastoke (Church Road). Drive straight through Mengham village (Elm Grove) to the seafront (approx 1 mile). At the T-junction on the seafront turn left to Sandy/Eastoke end, then drive along the seafront for approx 0,25 mile. The road curves to the left, take the first right on the bend into Southwood Road. Drive to the end of Southwood Road until you come to a dead-end sign (approx 1 mile). Turn left here into Bosmere Road. Drive along Bosmere Road and at the T-junction turn right into Sandy Point Road then take the first left into Bracklesham Road.
